Do Dance shoes fit the same as street shoes?

This is a tricky one. Some do some don't. All Child shoes fit very close to Street shoes, adult ones vary with each shoe. If you are unsure make sure to ask. A proper fit is very important to dancers at every level.

What's the difference between the shoes we sell and the shoes "non-dance stores" sell?

The biggest difference is the materials they are made of. If the material is too tough it not only restricts the muscles in the feet but can strengthen the foot in the wrong places. If the material is too flimsy it limits muscle development in the foot which is very important, especially in young dancers.

How old do I have to be to go on pointe?

This is ultimately a question for your dance teacher, they know your feet and body better than anyone. Our average dancer is about 12-13 when they come in for the exciting first pair. But when you get you get the Okay from your teacher our trained staff will be ready for you.

Is everything you have on your website the same as what you have in store?

No, as hard as we try to keep the website up to date and stocked, we will always have more to choose from in store. So come in, we would love a visit.

If I order something online and it doesn't fit can I return it?

Absolutely. We can exchange or return for store credit anything that is unworn, in new condition with all packaging and tags. You can ship it back or bring it in and we will be happy to find you the proper size.
